SC Kiwanis Projects
On this page you will find specific projects or programs that the Swartz Creek Kiwanis Club is undertaking that are out of the realm of 'typical programming.' Such projects are usually related to the building committee or some sort of infrastructure that the club is looking to construct or maintain for the betterment of the community.
Kiwanis Pavilion in Elms Park 2010
In addition to the new roof that Kiwanis installed in 2009 (in cooperation with the City of Swartz Creek), the Kiwanis Club is planning on making some structural repairs to fix problems with support posts.
Years and years ago, before this web-guy was probably born, the Kiwanis of Swartz Creek generously donated and constructed a beautiful pavilion in Elms Park. This pavillion houses bathrooms, electrical facilities, a brick grill, a concrete pad, and seating for many picnic-goers.
After many years, more repairs are needed to correct rotten that has occured on the major support braces. If you can offer any funds, skills, or time towards this continued endeavor, please contact the club or the City Offices!
